Why does my FL axle break so quickly?('90 pickup)

That picture is exactly what I needed to see. Thank you.

So I am thinking I need to install four total 4"-compression-bumpstop-extenders, since there are two compression-bumpstops on each a-arm of the truck? Meaning two 4"-compression-bumpstop-extenders on the drivers side, and two on the passenger side? And leave the one rebound-bumpstop on each a-arm in stock position?

I can tell now that this should have been done when the lift was installed.

Would just getting on the gas in reverse(4-low) be enough force to cause the suspension to travel farther than it should? The shocks seem fairly new. When the axle went out the second time, that was all that was happening, and I think the tires were even pointed straight. Just getting on the gas doesn't seem like enough force to bottom the suspension farther than if I had the bumpstop spacers installed.
