should I get a 4" or 6" deck plate? Which would you recommand?

4 inch is adeguate

getting a 6 inch wont do much of anything different

The 6" is OK too and it won't hurt right? There is this one website site that offers free shipping, but they only have 6" in black.

will require more precision in where you put it, a six inch deckplate if i remember correctly is about 7.5-8in in diameter, its what i used and takes up the whole front of box...

As wjwerdna said... the 6" will take over the whole box and may even overlap in some places. The 4" is good. I managed to find a 5" for me and it's a perfect fit.
