What oil weight?
What oil weight would you use for a 3.0 with 200k+ miles with no severe leaks to speak of? I am of the mind that you should use the high mileage 10W-30 while others have told me I should be using a heavier 10W-40 oil. I live in Michigan so we do have seasonal changes and I would prefer not to always have to change the oil to accommodate the season.

i run 10 40 in the winter and 15-40 rotella diesel oil in the summer with a half quart of lucas oil treatment. as our engines wear oil tolerances get bigger so we need a higher viscosity to help keep the ticks down and oil pressure up. when i run straight 10-30 i hear a very faint lower end knock when idling, using a 40 weight oil makes it go away and has been gone for years using the heavier weight oil.

If you are up in the UP I would run 15/40 year round on that high of mileage engine
I run nothing but 20/50 year round it starts just fine in the garage in the winter although sitting outside in the wind after a 12 hour day. Is interesting but I have had no failures to start.
