is what i have a good start?

my brother in law called me and said his biological father was needing some money and had a 87 toyota for sale, all i knew was toyotas were good trucks so i told him i wanted it. Its a short bed, pipe bumpers, decent body, decent interior. the guy said it had a 22r motor in it with 2200 miles, it has a 5 speed, and is suppose to have front and back slip posi. i bought it and another one for 1000.00 did i get it stuck to me, or do i have something decent? they are both sr5's

the 87 short bed runs but i have to put in a clutch and presure plate, that i already have, they guy had one for it. the 86 the body is trashed the engin is trashed but its also a 5 speed and therear end was rebuilt 500 miles ago. the 87 is alright, im going to redo the door panels on it, and the body is alright, dents in every panel and two cancer spots on the bed.

Dents are character, if you don't add to them you aren't wheeling hard enough fella. Hell of a deal though bud. I got my 82 for $2700 and my 84 for $1000...my 91 runner for $4000 but I don't talk about the 3L.

LMFAO yea i know, here is a catch up on everything iv fixed since 14 long months ago...
Clutch, pressure plate, water pump, battery, gasket for the water jacket thing on the back of the motor, new plugs, new wires, new shocks, ebrake sensor, wire clean up, k&n breather, valve cover gaskets.... what i need now and is soon to come is, rebuild the starter, door hinge bushings, steering damper, tires, redo the wire loom for the rear lights, going to toss the bed and build a flat bed, my parts truck has a perfect front end, so ill change that out, small body work on the roof, and work the doors if i cant find nicer ones. :deep breath: and god knows what else will pop up
