What to expect from new suspension? OME

So I've been kicking the idea around of throwing a new suspension setup on my toyota.

I have a 1983 toyta 4x4. When I purchased it initially I thought it was stock, but at some point the previous owner put on some new shocks, but the decals are pretty much destroyed.

Went camping/fishing trip the last couple days and the first 2/3rds of the road on the way in as pretty washboarded out and the ride is super stiff we were bouncing all over the place. The last 1/3 was basically one large rock garden.

I also daily drive the truck quite a bit. I've been looking at the light duty OME kit. Seems like it retains the stock ride height and softens the ride quite a bit.

I usually go on these trips just me and a buddy. Max weight in the back is maybe ~150lbs of camping gear and I dont tow with it.

I know a new suspension won't make it ride like a rolls royce, but I'm hoping it'll take some of the harshness out and maybe on those washboard roads we won't bounce all over the place.

Am i on the right path or should I be looking elsewhere?
