Ive seen it done. Does not look good and once dirty is a royal pain to get all the dirt thats stuck in it.

i've considered doing this with my own truck. i don't know much about the duplicolor product itself, but i've seen plenty of trucks that look great with it done right. here's one of my favorites:

do a google IMAGE search for "bedline the whole truck" or "linex the whole truck" and you'll see a lot of really good looking trucks. and of course, some not so good looking.

remember the most important thing is the pre-spray prep work if you want it to last. also, a UV resistant product is a must.

Thats exactly what i thought when i first heard of such thing. How does it cleanup? It might look good freshly sprayed but after it gets dirty its not gonna look so hot. You cant just wash it with a sponge, its not gonna work.

My advice: dont do it, it looks like sh%7 afterwards.

i use the rustoleum stuff and sprayed the lower 1/4 of my old '86 pickup in my avatar...did hardly no prep work and it held up great, even to the fist sized rocks that super swampers throw.

The bed armor has a uv Protectant added in so it won't fade

did that to my truck, accidentally got wax in it, and it never came out lol.
so i have whiteish bedliner along the edges of the bed, looks terrible.
Also my bed is rusting out underneath it, so i'm not too concerned with the bedliner

i've seen a new FJ cruiser done entirely in red liner, not sure of the brand. i spoke to the driver; she wanted a red FJ and was mad they weren't available in that color, so she was going to have it painted. she went with bedliner instead.

the thing looks like a tank, you can't help but want to go touch it. red paint fades faster than any other color, so i wouldn't do red. and i wouldn't apply a wax that would turn white. there's plenty of clear sealants on the market, and the coin-op pressure washer and scrub brush will clean the nooks and crannies. sponges are for delicate finishes, not bed liner. good luck with your project and be sure to post pics!
