Upper ball joint troubles

I recently had a upper ball joint separation while driving 55 mph causing the entire passenger wheel to snap off. Pretty scary stuff. I installed new tie rod, upper and lower ball joints on both sides. The dust boot on the Master PRO Upper has torn. Only been a week and this was the side that broke originally. Should I go try to find a new cover or buy a new joint for the cover or could there be a underlying problem. It is a spacer lifted 1997 extended cab 4x4. Don't know if I would survive another crash.

Red face

We have pretty much found using any Ball Joints but those from Toyota on Tacoma`s to be a bad idea

You were lucky most often it is the bottom that fails

How many miles .

If your Ball joint spacers were installed incorrect it could be part of the problem

A few threads on here about what goes wrong !!

I will probably buy some Toyota ball joints. My spacer is in the top of the strut tower.
