tube light mount

have had a marlin crawler bumper mounted on my rig for some time now. just wend out and bought 4 hella lights and a smitty build winch.

winch is an easy mount. no problem.
the problem is. i want to mount the lights on the bar some how.

ive seen jeep tube bumper light clamps. but only in a 3 inch.

the marlin crawler ones have 1 3/4 inch tubing.

so the question is. without doing any welding since its already painted and on. how do i mount the lights?

ive tried finding clamps everywhere online. in stores. found something at lowes i thought would work. a split ring clamp. but its not going to work either.

any ideas?

i think the best way would be to weld a tab on the bar with a hole in it so you can bolt the lights on

i would say if weldin is out of the question then drill a few holes then thred them so u can use bolts in it. it would look better then if u drilled all the way though it. then just get u some brackets to mount your light. like this l_l

Is that flat black paint?
If it is, just sand some of it off and weld tabs on the back... seriously..
Flat black paint is easy to fix with a can of primer and a can of flat black or satin black..

no. in the picture it looks like that cuz of the lighting.

all together it has 4 coats primer. 3 coats gloss black. and 2 coats clear. and its welded onto the truck now cuz a buddy had a miller welder at the time.

what if i put a piece of steel like 2 inches wide. .375 under the winch so it was bolted through. and drilled holes in that for all the lights?

does that make sense?

the qestion is. if i drill the holes in the tube...

do i just run a bead of caulking around the hole when its done. or do i drill a hole somewhere in the bottom.

i dont want the bumper to hold water inside and rust thru.

any ideas?

ight. thanks man. ill probably do that. its about the easiest and best idea so far.

next question is. go with 4 lights, or 2 lights?
dont forget i have a winch in the middle too

no i dont have a front view of it right now.

here is one from marlin crawler site.

i would mount the lightson the inside of the headlights. and then a couple more inches in from that. if i do 4

or just the 2. i would put them a couple inches in from the headlights

"Teflon Tape" commonly used for household plumbing and some gas fitting ( illegal as hell) easy to use, trim and waterproof!! That's how I'd go!!

ah yes indeed, conduit hangers

I just ended up having tabs welding on during the construction of the bumper though

cost me 67 cents a piece. With a little bending and drilling it seems to hold them pretty well. Not the perfect solution, but for under a dollar a light
