Trying to help my neighbor

My neighbor just recently purchaced an old Toyota 4wd truck. Its in pretty rough shape, and I think there are alot of miss matched parts and pieces on the entire truck.

The badge on the valve cover says it has a 21 RU engine, but we dont know if its the right engine or a swap, or what.

Anyhow, I have searched the web for a few days trying to find an exhaust manifold gasket, and I dont know if what I have found is right or not, nothing seems ot match up exactly.

I am hoping that some of you fellas can steer us in the right direction for a manifold gasket,

PLEASE HELP!

wikipedia says the 21 RU is a japanese model air injected engine in the early 80s.

try plugging in the VIN at this site: http://www.toyotapartseast.com/
confirm the engine is original to the VIN, and if so order your parts! good luck

sounds like a wierd swap. and it is probably similar to the 20r same family. i bet it was a jspec swap. might have to import one.

I feel like there were some 2wd 70's toyotas that had the RU engine. At least I know either on this site or Marlin's, I remember seeing people post with them. I'll see if I can find that info.
