Truck won't start

I just replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump on my 94' Toyota pickup and now it won't start. Can you help with what the problem could be?

In your last post you said it was a 22re correct?

Start simple, are you getting fuel at the rail?

Sounds like a silly Q, but did you install the fuel filter the correct direction?

yes we did. It's running but when I step on the gas it sputters and wants to die. Could it be the air flow sensor? It was doing this before we replaced everything too.

Are you sure that you hooked everything back up correctly?

Can you give us a little more detail about what all was done or replaced. It might help narrow it down.

So far I have replaced the water pump, fan clutch, v-belt, fuel filter and fuel pump. But it was sputtering before we replaced the filter and the pump.

Ok, it sounds like the fuel system is good to go. Have you looked at the timing?

try to disconnect your throttle position sensor and or mass air flow see if it changes anything

I would check all your sensors first. Mine was doing the same thing and I replaced the air flow sensor and I was good to go. If that doesnt do it then I would move on to the timing and make sure that it is all squared away.
