X2 I had the same problem with the spare I had in my runner when I bought it. Of coarse I didn't find out until I was out on a trail and needed the tire.

I have the same issue. I bought some AMAZING used 265/75/r16's and want them on my yota. I want to go to 16's cause the tire options are better, more plentiful and well, from what I've found cheaper for m/t's.

I bought some 16" chevy rims from a friend that came w/ a POS spare so I pulled out the torch and cut the center out of the spare to check to see if they'd fit. Bolt pattern good.

Didnt think of the spacers. Does anyone make a thin spacer where you wouldnt have to change the studs? The center only sticks out like.... 1/4 or less of an inch. Anyone know about these existing? I was going to find a machine shop to see if they'd do them 4 me but i kind of like the spacer idea...

Hunh. Wab fab sells 1" spacers for $94 (per pair) shipped. That seems like a good deal and would work I believe.

<EDIT>

I emailed the Wabbit and asked him but I'm pretty sure they'd work. Dont see why not. Plus it would give you flexability to go back and forth from the 15's or 16's or whatever.

Would probably need to order that tool to put em on there. I'll let you know what he says.

Hunh. Well. This is interesting. I think I'm talking to myself. I just noticed this thread has been dead since...2007.

Kind of liberating. I feel like I could say anything. Yep. Weird.

Oh well. Hunh. Well. Ok then, I'll just back out of the thread real quiet before someone thinks I'm crazy..

Ok then.

Bye. Was never here...
