Duh...umm..wrong thread maybe? This thread is for posting links to valuable reference material.

NO QUESTIONS NOT REGARDING THE TOPIC OF THE THREAD PLEASE!!! Don't clutter a very good thread with a bunch of trivia. Thanks.

How about a Hella 500 link, I only see that one asked about twice a week.

I personally would like to see a thread dedicated to engine conversions.

Also a link on the main page pointing to the newbie section might prove to be beneficial. I joined two days ago and just found all of this.

Just at thought.

The link under "torsion bar crank" is a dead end.

How about the huge thread on pirate for the chevy spring swap for our yotas. Just a thought, I think I have read the entire thing at least 3 times but have yet to do the swap...but I'm gonna do it any minute now.

Awesome thread. I'm new to YT and this was tremendously helpful.

Does anyone know how much a decent rear locker would cost me if I install it myself (I'm pretty mechanically inclined although I've never changed a diff before).

Also, I live in Edmonton, AB, Canada. Does anyone know of a good shop here to get this kind of stuff? The only place I know of is 4Wheel Auto. Do you recommend getting used parts or going brand new?

Very helpful to us noobs, thanks!

One request: More transmission links please? The Wikipedia link appears to have had the page associated with truck transmissions deleted.

Unhappy 1993 toyota 2wd 4 cylinder brake help for discontinued part

Ok, this is my daughter's truck and we had the back brakes fixed thinking that this was where the brake leak was coming from. Mechanics talk so fast but from what I gathered the leak is on the Left Rear passenger side and he called it a "anti brake, skid part" that has been discontinued from toyota. We have to put brake fluid in the truck every couple of days and the leak is getting worse.

Where can I find the part? What is the official name? (it looks like a rubber boot to me) and can it be bypassed without making her truck unsafe?

I looked in the Haynes manual and the only thing I see 40th cousin to the part is a "load sensing valve" but what do I know?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sharley
