toyota e-locker question

I was wondering, when an e-locked toyota rear axle is geared to say 4.10, can you swap the gears without changing anything for the actual locker?

Also, are all 8" toyota gears interchangeable? i wanna buy a '98 tacoma rear axle for my '92 4runner and i need to change the gears from 4.10 to 4.56 and these are a few of my (newb) questions.

Thanks in advance

IIRC.....they come with 4.56 gear ratios....then yoy wouldn't have to mess around changing gears.

Do some RESEARCH. Tons of info on here....

I know they came with 4.56 but they are MUCH harder to find. All of the ones i have seen for sale are 4.10s. And i have searched but it always comes up with nothing i can use to answer my questions.

I was just makin' sure that when i get the E-locker diff i could swap out my stock gears from the '92.
