Toyota chevy axle swap what front springs to use?

I m doing a build, starting with a ext cab toy. Has no bed. I'm going to 3 link rear end with jeep coils. I'm lost on front. I'm looking at going leaf springs but not sure what springs. I thought s-10, or front leafs from a k5. I have the axles and the leafs laying around from my other k5 builds. But I'm afraid that the k5 leafs will be to stiff. Any ideas?

Search RUF on here. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Start reading around. Check out the solid axle swap section on here, most swap in a toyota axle but the concept is the same....

What axles were under the blazer? 60/14 combo?

Many companies make kits to help hang an axles on toyotas.

For now just a 10 bolt and 12 bolt. Maybe down road will go with that 60/14.

10/12? dont even bother. Just get some toyota axles.

But if you have them laying around I understand why you would want to use them.

What year is your excab?

Ya I have them laying around that's why I'm using them. I have had good luck with the axles in my k5 before I went to 1 to tons in it. I'm nit looking to go extreme just a trail rig to play with. I have tons of axle shafts and parts out the ass for Chevy. Haha I'm a Chevy guy. But I have been wanting to shrink in size for trail truck. I haven't been able to find a s10 blazer priced right. I came across this truck at a real good price. I had to pick up a frame also but I'm still doing good on price so far. I don't go wheeling everyday to sink a ton of money, and were I go isn't high-tech trails. So I don't need state of the art stuff. Just building something a little different from what I'm used to haha
