Tools needed for 3rd member removal?

I've never messed around inside an axle before but before long I'll want to regear if I end up putting 33s on my truck. I'll leave setting up the R+P to the pros but figured I could save a few $$$ if I just bring them the 3rd members and install the finished product myself. What do I need in order to pull them out and reinstall them on a 1991 pickup with IRS in the front?

Last time I checked, brake lines are 10 mm, diff studs are 12 mm, and the axle flange and drive shaft bolts are 14 mm.
So, other then the wheel lug sockets, a jack and jack stands, which he didn't ask about, what else is needed, Brandon?

Good thing op posted in newbie tech so we can't flame him for not searching when I KNOW there are a few threads that outline the removal of the rear third.

scuba isn't he removing both thirds? Gonna need more then those to remove the front as well. One would hope since he's regearing, he will also be removing the front third along with the rear. I know I would be. CV joint flanges are bigger then 14mm as well as the 3 diff mounting bolts.

Rear is easy, I just did my front and it was a real PITA.... two men is required IMO. Six+ ladies to cheer me on would have been nice too!

Thanks guys-I was really wondering if there was any kind of "special stuff" because I didn't know if there would be spring/c-clips to remove, or if there would be a need for some kind of bearing puller, etc... If it's just wrenches and sockets I've got that covered.

LOL...yeah, 4.88s in the rear and 4.10s up front might not work too well

I just printed out the FSM instructions when I did mine. Low and behold it went exactly as it outlined lol. It's really not as big of a deal as you would think.

Best to have 2 14mm for the driveshaft nut/bolt combo. 24mm for the drain and fill plugs, 6 point being better. Make sure you can get the fill plug off first.

Grinder, and dremel in case you absolutely can't get something out...I had to grind my driveshaft bolts off when changing my rear oil pinion seal....

Definitely some good flare wrenches for the rear brake lines. Last thing you need is to have them rounded off.
