Tool Box?
Sup everyone Im not new to Yota's But im new to this forum and feel this is a newb question.
Ive been looking everywhere for a tool box to fit my truck, Im a firefighter and really need to get the gear out of my back seat so its usable again.
I have an 02 4 door taco
I really just need to be pointed in the right direction
Where should I look?

Well you could always start with a normal alum. one and get a welder to customize it a bit... if you trim it from the rail lip down and then carefully cut the trim apart you should be able to weld the side back on and use the floor portion to add to the rail lip and seal it all up again.
Then again as I suggested with a hard tonneau cover with some heavy duty gas struts you could attach a fire axe and other tools to the underside of the cover [accessible and out of the way] put one of those roll out bed floor drawers in and mount an extinguisher and/or your air tank gear clips to it so they stay put. Your other gear is mostly going to be in cases and crash bags so they can be clipped to the tray where ever is handy... That way the bed walls stay clear to attach other gear like a big inverter so you can plug in work lights or other emergency gear if needed.
As for security you can get locking tailgate handles and if you get an ARE cover they can be keyed alike to your truck or be fitted with cylinder key locks if you prefer.

has some that will fit a DC.
I used one from Lowe's in my '05 DC taco, it did not go all the way to the edge of the bed, but just fit on the floor. guess you could call it a universal box. worked great. on trail runs in houses spare parts in my trekker
