Throttle doesnt always respond.

At times only in first gear, i will get going but sometimes after im already moving i push the pedal amore and nothing happens, I push further still nothing then eventually after i push it far enough it will lurch and the RPMs will shoot way up to match the throttle.
Bad TPS? I took it off a while back and tested and adjusted it. All was fine. Had the same problem even before i fooled with the TPS. Anything else able to cause this?

EDIT: Its a 3.0.

Pull the throttle body and give it a good cleaning, then check and adjust (or replace) the TPS and see what happens.

i've got issues w/ my auto trying to start out in 2nd gear. adjusting the top throttle/tranny cable resolved the issue. JCIII started a thread detailing the adjustment, but it begins with throttle cable adjustment, which may resolve ur issue anyway.
i'll try to find link and attach

It only sometimes does it. I ran a can of sea foam through the upper hose into the throttle body and stuff. So far it seems better. But il see in the next few days of driving.

It's a cable operated throttle on that truck, so just a good cleaning should fix it.....I doubt that it is the TPS, but you could always check the voltage at the TPS and see if it is within spec
