Tailgate Widnow Arms

I have a 93 4runner and about the only thing not solid right now is the tailgate window, one of the rails rusted off of the arm and it wont retract the window, and of course i cant open the tailgate or anything because it won't open unless the window is completely down. I was just hoping someone might have some ideas how to fix this, from experience or whatever. Right now its held up by a piece of wood screwed in the panel . If i can't figure somethin legit out, iam just going to rip the engine out and hope that i can fix it.

Thanks for any help.

Um, I would start by taking out the piece of wood. Run the motor down, open the tail gate, and run the motor back up to the half way position. Un-bolt the regulator from its frame in the tailgate. maneuver it out of the window track and out of the tailgate. Install new regulator.

If I read your post right your looking for the track attached to the window. These are notorious for rusting out, they keep them in stock at most stealerships at about $18 bucks each.
