Supra LSD Qs

Is there a supra lsd that fits the 7.5" front, and another that fits the 8" rear, or only one? If there's a rear one, can it be added to a diff with the factory E-locker? The idea has me curious. I'm a little more interested in the rear since it's less dangerous in slippery conditions and the e-locker is awesome but it annoys me how long it takes to engage many times.

86.5-92 Supra has an 8" LSD. It's standard on all turbo models, and optional for N/A models. It fits in the rear of the older trucks pretty easily, but not with an e-locker. I'm not sure why you would want both. Most countries used a clutch type, but the Japanese JZA70 had a torsen type.

79-81 and 82-86 Supras have a 7.5" LSD. It's optional on 79-81 (And really hard to find, as those early Supra solid axles are a really hot item for Celicas and Corollas). 82-86 I believe was standard for all P-Type Supras (Which is like 90% of them). They will fit in the front IFS diffs, but it's a little tricky as you can't exactly shim them to fit in nicely like the rears.

The 7.5" LSD was also offered in the 82?-86 Cressidas....Not sure about the later Cressidas...I know thru the years, the Supra and Cressida shared most of the same drivetrain, so it wouldnt suprise me to learn the 87-92 Cressidas also had the 8" LSD option...

With the 7.5", IIRC, not only the shims are different...The carrier bearings are too... THATS why the shimming is different...I started to swap one into my 99 Tacoma, but ended up having to move, and sold everything off...
