steering

i have a old 82 yota which is still being built. i wondering if theres a adjusting screw on the gear box to tighten up the steering a lil

On the IFS boxes there is a pre-load screw opposite the end of the sector shaft where the pitman arm attaches. I think the older push-pull boxes have the same. Loose the lock nut, tighten the screw and lock the nut again.
