starter solenoid

hey guys new to yotatech here and i have a 88 toyota truck with the 3.0 v6 and i came out side this morning and played the radio for about 5 min then i tried to crank the truck and nothing no clicking or nothing and the headlights wont come on and the wipers wont work . i checked the termanals and made sure the battery was charged all that seems to be ok i read in my repair book that it may be the starter solenoid it shows me how to check it but not where its located can some one help me out with this probelm any insight would be great

welcome to YT. have you tried to jump it? did it start fine yesterday? if you are bent on the starter, its behind the dust covers in the wheel well on the passenger front. its on the bottom of the block, a real PITA to get to.

yes it started fine yesterday and i dont think its the starter i think its the starter solenoid and i need to locate it in the engine bay so that i can jump it and see if thats the problem i found something that says starter relay is that it ? or is it the the thing mouted above the passanger fender well with 3 wires bolted to it ?
