Okay, I have searched on this site but have not found my answer, so if this has been brought up, I apoligize, but I did search. I am almost done swapping a 5 spd into my 1991 4WD Toyota pickup that was an automatic. My truck had the a340f tranny from the factory in it. What, if anything, do I do about the speed sensor that was on the automatic? The 5 spd. that I put in my truck was from an 89 model, which the 5 spd. does not have a speed sensor on it. I still have this speed sensor pigtail in the wiring harness, but will this affect the performance of my truck without having it hooked up? I still have the auto ecu in the truck. I was just thinking about this speed sensor thing and thought I should try to find out something about it. I have my clutch switch and reverse lights, 4wd indicator light all hooked up. Thanks for your time and hopefully someone knows the answer to this.
