I have a 99 4-runner with a v-6. Wondering where the spark plugs are? Pics would be great. And also what kind of plug should i replace them with? Thanks in advance...

welcome to yotatech its a pretty easy job dont for get to use anti seize on the spark plug threads also use a spark plug socket to remove them and use it to get a few turns on the new ones switch over to a deep metric socket to finish the job http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/mainte...tenancep3.html

Not to be a jerk, but if you cant even locate the plugs, then you might not want to change them yourself.

lol. The dealer doesn't charge much to change sparkplugs...

just get it done when you have your oil changed there!

Being this green, you defiantly need to get a FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL!

I think he might not realize that the coils on the right side take the place of the cables. I know when i first got mine i could see the left side fine but could not really tell where the spark plug cables were coming from until i took the airbox off and saw that it uses 3 coils vs the 1 (or distribulator) that i was used to.

But yes a FSM is still a great idea!
