My 91 is still down, I was wondering if the linkage could be affecting this problem, talked to a tech at redline, he said changing the gear oil won't solve my problem, talking to my respected mechanic friend, he said it is pretty clearly a transmission issue, just want to eliminate all possibilities before I dive into the repair.

Update on the shifting problem; the last time I used my 91, during a 10 mile ride it popped out of gear about 8 times and yes there was some grinding, regardless of what my friend said, he is not a Toyota expert, so taking into consideration what I am hearing from some experienced toyota mechanics on this forum, yes I feel I could do more damage by continuing to use the truck, I got the shifter seat bushing and ball cap from marlin, I tried to put them on, I can't figure out how to remove the stick, I understand you need to push down and twist the cap above the spring, I can't get that to happen, is there some special trick or tool I need?

I did it a few years back on my 94... I think I found a video on youtube that showed how to do it. While you're messing with it, check the clutch pedal bracket. They tend to crack, and make it hard to go into gear. The popping out tho, would either be due to the bushing, or a bad syncro

Thanks 420, I found some stuff on the net that was helpful, I used two flat head drivers to remove it and what do you know the seat was chunkified, ended up using a smaller driver and a hammer to put it back in, that gave me my downward push and twist in one shot, took it for a short drive, no slippage, thanks to everyone for their help, I will keep youz posted, no news is good news.
