Give yourself a weekend, get your tools out and your new gaskets, take pictures, you should have no problem!

Go to Carquest, napa, checker, auto zone or whatever you prefer to use. Get a complete gasket set for your 22re. You might as well replace all of them.
You'll need a torque wrench, a VERY accurate one. You can sometimes rent (for free) from the said places above. You end up buying the tool, then return it for a full refund. Pretty neat.
Get your shop book for it, Haynes isn't great but it'll work. FOLLOW the books, and don't take short cuts. They wrote that book for a reason... If you don't have a book, i'm pretty sure there is a place on this site to Download the shop books for it. I have no idea where they are, i guess just search for it.
You'll need your other tools. Ratchet with a Milimeter set. I think the biggest you will need is a 17mm. Impact ratchet extensions. Wrenches. Shop rags. Buckets for radiator fluid and such.
Oh you will need another tool. I can't recal the name but it is a two prong FORK that lodges into the inside of the cam. You need to pull that thing off and it's torqued at like 90psi. Some people have some interesting methods to get it off, so be creative just don't damage it. If you want my word though... rent the tool. It will make your job incredibly easy and fast.
When you take the timing chain off, zip tie it to the gear spokes and mark it. If you're careful, you can pull the head off without having to re-do your timing chain. Just MARK it and move it towards you so the head of the engine can slide out.
Look around Yotatech for more information on it. These are just a few tips and there are quite a lot of people who have their opinions on how to do the job right. I'm not right, i'm not wrong... the methods i use work for me bt other people's methods work fine too.
Good luck.
Oh yeah, take lots of pictures!!! It WILL help you if you get lost.
