Shocks or Struts

Shocks or Struts
Alright, so I have a 2000 Toyota 4Runner Limited... I would like to put some high end suspension. Maybe Rancho shocks or maybe TRD shocks... My question is: What do I need to replace? I don't know if I have shocks, struts, or both.. If possible I would like to get a little lift out of it if possible.... Please help.. I really don't know very much about suspension.
