safety lift vs. tires

Im working on a 1984 toy longbed pickup 169000 miles. Would like to put a small suspension lift, front and rear springs , to regain some stance and ride comfort. I would like to keep my stock wheels and run 235-75-15s if I can do this safely. I was thinking about the downey 3" system or the old man emu system. What do you think? This was my first new truck 23 years ago and I want to do it right . I dont take it off road very much and dont look to abuse it . I do pull a trailer a couple thousand pounds every now and then . Thanks for your help in advance. John

Can't go wrong with the OME 2" springs and shocks. This '85 has them with a close to stock size tire:

thanks for info , I know ome offers 2 different kinds of springs for my truck, standard and hevey duty. Im thinking about the standard because I want a better ride. What made you go with ome? ive only found them at one site and they want 750.00 for it. In your opinion was ome worth the money.
