Replacing a 3.0 what are my options?

Replacing a 3.0 what are my options?
like many of you I have a 3.slo and hate it. I want to upgrade but not sure which way to go.... I am leaning towards the 190HP build from CHS and then adding a turbo. there's a guy in town who can build a kit for approx 1200... I wanted to get ya'lls recommendations before I sank too much into this project

welcome to the forum! first off before we get ahead of ourselfs, what are your plans for the 4runner? daily driver? weekend wheeler? alot of people do the 3.4l swap. just start searching...then search and more to see what other people have done in your situation.

Thanks! as for plans a little bit of both. I have been looking at the 3.4 swap but this seems like a easier/cheaper option with more HP/torq than the 3.4 swap. I would probably do the turbo first run 8-10lbs and then do the rebuild and maybe crank it up to 10-15lbs...

Read my build. Then go with the 3.4, just like I'm now doing. Save yourself the extra cash and just do it. I have a 100% custom built 3vze, and it's still a 3.slow. Don't turbo it, it's a waste of money.
