you have to remove the plenum.

Pretty easy, just takes time.

Remove intake, remove vac lines (LABEL!), depressurize gas tank, undo Cold start fuel line, remove bolts from top, remove support bracket bolt, detach cables from TB, and TA DA fuel injector heaven.

After the plenum is off, you have to remove the fuel rails. Start by detaching fuel lines, front and back, that connect the 2 rails together. Litlle copper crush washers will most likley fall off, make sure to ge new ones from the dealer. Then remove the bolt that olds the fuel line from the tank to the top of the engine. then ou can remove the rails, careful, as fuel may spill out. Always have a few fire extinguishers hanging around.

Then send them off to ge cleaned. In the meantime, now is a prime time to completley clean the TB, and the plenum. Get about 2 cans of carbon cleaner and spray and scrub that carbon away. Mine had oil in it too so it was a PITA, but eventualy got it all out.

Good luck!

when my were going bad they didnt cause pinging they just would cycle between way too lean and then the ecu would freak out because of the lean conditio nand dump a ton of fuel creating a very rich condition. All i noticed was bad gas mileage and my exhuast manifold would become glowing red if the engine was under load for very long.

So my answer is mabey, I experienced no ping or symptoms except the ones a described above and my injectors were horrible. Definatly use witchhunter performance for yoru injector cleaning I have tried a few and they definatly are top notch and many other people here can votch for them as a quality service.

Hey I am doing a similar job due to a misfire (bad injector), figure having the others cleaned would be prudent. Where did you send yours to be cleaned??

Also the oil in the plenum is normal?

I found these injectors on amazon for $46 each, I dont think that, they are that expensive! Here is a link these are for the 3.0 Fuel Injector - Amazon

Yeah I used this thing called Google, it worked great. I found a place in Torrance, CA, RC Eng. $24 each. Witchhunter I think was $19 and another in NJ, Injector-Rehab (cool mascottts they have) I think $17ea. considering th shipping and delay, I took them RC Engineering and I get them back same or next day.

Reduce, Recylce, Reuse. sweeeet
