Has anyone installed a remote oil filter on a Gen 3 4Runner? I am concerned about keeping oil in the remote system during start up. I have used flapper check valves in the past (about 25 years ago) to help prevent oil draining back into the oil pan. It looks like a real pain to remove the oil filter in stock location. Haven't changed the oil yet, but need to in a couple of months. Will use a Wix filter and Mobil 1 oil, as I do on every engine I own. Thanks.... great site!!!
