as reed valve seals?

as reed valve seals?
1992 4runner 3v-ze
I just got my hands on a smoke tester to find vac leaks, found one small hose crack but noticed a TON of smoke coming out of the as reed valve. From what I understand, it pulls air in, but should it be able to forced out like that? Is there a gasket inside that can be replaced?
