Receiving hitch ?

I found a stock receiving hitch from a 94 4runner. I have a 94 pickup and I was looking to install it on there is this a problem? or are there any real differences?

Pickup has leafs in the rear. 4Runner has coils. Won't work.

Even if it bolts to the side of the frame rails instead of the top

actually I just found one from a 92 pickup. It's pretty rusty but looks intact.
