Questions on Center Console

Hey Guys,

I am thinking of a few projects for my soon to be upcoming 4Runner and I have a few questions.

First would be does anyone know what a general dimensions for a center console in 88-93 4Runner be? (Looking towards 3.5 foot long, roughly 13 inches wide and 13-14 inches high with a pad on the top lid) Does this sound about right for that year, or is it too small/large?

Second question points towards radio wiring, how hard would it be to run the stereo wiring from the center console area, up into the dash and into the system itself (I understand that will be a custom job, as is the center console, but I am taking an idea for security I saw earlier and running with it)

I am wanting to create a center console that will house the radio head unit, leaving the original in place but unconnected. If the dimensions sound good, when I buy my 4Runner and head unit, I will be doing a build article for the whole project as I think it will turn out quite awesome.

Edit: Further editing, it will be a 5 speed 4x4 gear box as well so it will need to be able to clear for shifting as well.
