I have been looking around but can't seem to find a definitive answer. I am wondering if 1990's Toyota pickups (say 90-94, for example) could come with the extended cab, 4x4, AND with the 22RE as a stock configuration.

I have been in the market for an ext cab, 4x4 pickup with the 22RE - all of the extended cabs I have found have the 3.0 3VZE, and the 22RE is found in 4x4's, but I have only found standard cabs thus far.

Also, is the bed length different in a standard cab and extended cab? I Googled that one and think they are the same - I just want to be 100% sure. Thanks, and sorry in advance if this is

 

Yes they did come as a 22RE, 4wd, ext cab

A regular cab short bed is the same as extended cab bed

 

Yes, they did come with xcab 4wd 22re 5spd - it's probably the most desirable combo for the generation of truck and when you find one for sale it's usually priced slightly more since they're somewhat like finding a unicorn. I have one - took me 6mo to find it only after placing a want ad when I'd given up looking.

Bed lengths are the same. Only 2wd had option for longbed on a single cab I believe.

 

Thanks highonpottery - hah I like the name by the way. I have been searching for one..I used to have an ext cab 3VZE but I blew the headgasket, fixed that and then sold it. I need the same setup with 22RE and I'll never let it go! I need to find my damned unicorn now..

 

What not swap a 3.4 into 3.0 xtra cab? Buy one with a shot engine for $500 and ship it up toyonlyswaps for the ~$3500 engine swap...

 

Or do the swap yourself for half that...^^

 

They made 4WD regular cab long bed models through 92 actually.
