Post Temp Start-up
While I've had a bike that had carbs (manual choke), this is my first full size vehicle with carbs so, bear with me on my ignorance and being a bit long winded.
Engine is the 22R.
The problem I'm encountering is, once the truck reaches temp and when I park it, it seems to be a bit reluctant to want to start up without feathering the throttle as I engage the starter - sometimes it's fine, other times it needs more assistance from the throttle.
Cold start is fine, two pumps to prime and it ignites immediately every time, throttle response during driving is great too. I can only speculate that the automatic choke is what's making it start well when it's cold but, once it reaches temp and the automatic choke isn't on (?) that the engine isn't receiving enough fuel to get things going again, and thus why I need to tap the throttle as I'm turning the key, despite trying to prime things first.
