Polyurethane vs. Aluminum spacers for lift?

Hello, I have a 2000 4runner V6 Sport 4X4. Looking for a little lift, without a harsh ride. If anyone could please let me know what material they favor, I'd appreciate it. I need to purchase these tomorrow, so please help fast. Thanks!!

Laura

Personally I am not sure it makes a difference..... I used aluminum and didnt notice a change in ride quality. But you might get a bit softer with the poly....

if your gona use spacers its gona make it a rough ride anyways and even worse if u still use your stock shocks.

How do spacers affect the ride? The spring rate isnt changed. The spring isnt compressed, its just put lower in the struts axis, this raising the vehicle.. but spring rate is affected, nor is ride quality...

Most spacer lifts will be partially in the coil and partially above the coil. So it does preload the spring, but also moves the strut down. Of course, I assume we are talking about coil spacers, if not...well...
