I've got a 94 Pickup DLX and I'm taking the motor out to do the rings... I can get the motor bored out cheap and heads shaved cheap.. the only thing is does anyone know where i can find a set of .10 or .20 over pistons? It's a 3.0 by the way. thanks

 

If you are doing the pistons then its all coming apart. Id do one of the rebuild kits off ebay. You really need them to look the block over before picking a piston size. It may not need a bore..std may be ok...or maybe .010 over. Dont upsize a piston if it doesnt need to be...the scant power wont be worth the sacrifice to your cylinder walls. The thicker...the better.

 

I understand the thicker the better but im looking to see what i get for horsepower gain. its just my little toy, nothing more. not trying to be a race car or anything like that, to be understood. and it would be going 11:1.. im just trying to find some pistons

 

USA do yourself a favor, don't order the pistons and such till you tear it down and the machine shop looks at the block. They will be able to tell you which ones to get base on the amount of ridge they need to clean off the cyl walls.

oh haha forgot about that sorry been busy around here and helping 92TOY with his brakes, but I did look and it doesnt look like the base is big enough for a spark plug to rethread in, although I didn't try it. however, I am going to the junk yard tomorrow, I will look for one for you. I am sure I will find one.
