Pickup: parts for a 79 in a 78?

Pickup: parts for a 79 in a 78?
Just need a quick question answered. I got a 79 Pickup that has had the torsion bars removed because the previous owner thought it looked "cool". Obviously he has more butt cush then me because it is one bumpy ride, but I digress.
Simply put, I was wondering if I can use the torsion bar out of a 78 for my 79? I don't really know what I am talking about in this department but I can try and answer any questions you may have for me.
What I DO know.
1 2 wd
2 20r
3 is a 79
4 and that's about it.
Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. I did google and search this in this forum before I asked.
