Parts?
I have an opportunity to pick up a 86 toyota 4wd, the body is shot, the story is the son did a timing chain job,it wasnt running right after and there it sat for some years, sounds like the motor can be restored, it is a 22r, looks like the truck is whole, he wants 200$, as far as tearing it down and selling/using the parts I think it would be worthwhile, any input?

Yeah ,that might be fair in vermont , Toyota parts fetch a premium here, its the kind of thinq where when I blow ahead gasket and have to pay 200+ for a used head I will wish I bought it. Thanks for the response

If you have the room for $200.00 I am sure you can get that out in parts for yourself. It is nice to have extra parts as a last resort.:jessica:
If your looking to part this out and make money i always found that in my case I always lost money .
Once my labor was figured in.

For me it's a good chance to see how these things are put together and work on cars. I don't work with my hands as a living, and I always have a "protected by factory warranty" vehicle as a daily driver. Parting out vehicles is a good way for me to make a little money with my hobby and keep more of these things on the road.
