Paint my bumper
#21
Mine are stock with mild mods, but I powder coated mine Hammertone Black. I wouldn't suggest it if you are going to be hard core crawlin or thru the trees. Just use something that you can fix yourself.

Blue...sorry for taking this long to get back to you. I had to get the bumper sandblasted first because I had the rockerguard spray on it before. After that it had to get primed with their 'high heat' primer because the LineX is heated to about 250 degrees F as it is sprayed on and just regular primer will only be cooked off. This high heat is part of what makes LineX such a great product. After the initial spray, I then had it sprayed with the LineX Extra which is another coating that will give it a permant shiney look. Now I don't know about the prices where you are at but, up here in Canada, it would have cost be about $500 cdn to get that all done, but seeing as I was working for LineX at the time it didn't cost anything. Now when I go back and get my rear bumper done, seeing as I am no longer employed by them, it will cost me a little this time. Someone earlier in the thread mentioned that no matter what you do to your bumper, if you get attacked by rocks it will scratch...this is also true about the LineX finish however, you can always go back to where you got it sprayed and they can repair only the damaged section at little cost. Hope this helps in your decision. Mike.

Yep it is, but it's really an excellent product. 90% of our business was the new truck dealers, they where offering deals on the trucks because they were already sprayed with LineX. Those plastic bedliners are a piece of crap. We were even spraying fire hydrants in yellow because the city was getting tired of spending a lot of money each year hiring students to scrap them down and re-paint them. Another one of our customers was the New York Fire Department. We were spraying all the new metal shelving that is going into the new command and fire vehicles. For some reason we were cheaper than then getting them done in New York. We even did a bunch of the hydro truck beds because of the durability of the spray. Anyway, just wanted to let you know. I had my bumper done because I paid good money for it and was getting tired of always having to 'touch it up' every year. Good luck with yours.
