If you have Chevy axles under your Toyota, I guess they do ...

Double checked their website. The only Toyota application is the big LC diff.

It's a pretty safe bet that if the owner didn't say anything, it's stock. We really are a very small minority of Toyota owners...

So, how did you get an Auburn LSD when they don't make one? Or were you DOING LSD when you wrote that?

more or less the answer is yes, if its an open diff

i look at it this way, 4x2 the power has 2 wheels it could go to and 4x4 there are 4 wheels the power could go to, just not necessarily all at the same time, if that makes any sense.

I've purchased two vehicles in my life with lockers installed & one guy informed me as a selling point & the other didn't say a word. 50% might be a safe bet, I say best to check, it only takes a second. Of course that's not counting the LSD's I've had - I just discovered the Trooper my wife bought a couple months ago has a rear LSD & I bet the PO put the wrong gear oil in.

a limited slip for 2nd gen 4Runners was only offered in some parts of Europe and the U.K. For other parts of the world (except North America) a full electronic locker was offered. For unknown reasons Toyota did not see fit to offer a locker/LSD in North American 2nd Gen 4Runners were it would have been a smashing success.

Wouldn't the opposite be more ideal (lsd in rear and locker up front)?

My thinking is that a lsd is useful for both on and off road use even when the front is not engaged. Then, having lockers up front for the added traction when engaged would perform better than a lsd.

I suppose though, that having all four locked for off road use is best?

I'm new to all this stuff, so I really don't know what I'm talking about.

when it comes down to running a locker and limited slip it comes down to personal preference so of my from sware by running a ls in the back and a locker in the fron and other friends run it oppistie
