What is the difference between usa built vehicles and japan built vehicles when it comes to o2 sensor compatibility

 

not sure what your question is exactly? what type of rig?

new ones generally require you to cut the existing OE sensor wires and wire them into the pigtails of the new one. Stick with Denso for brand... URD's website has a fitting chart based on model/year/engine/CA or Non-CA, etc... find yours there and it has the Denso part number you need...

 

I have a 1995 extracab 22re 4 cycle. I was just wondering if they connect differently? when searching for o2 sensors some say they a for usa built vehicles while others say they will fit both us and japan made vehicles

 

1, Just go to parts store,

and 2, buy the O2 sensor for your truck...

 

I just did one today in the wife's honda... Denso comes with terminal crimps to attach the new wires together, some short sections of heat shrink tubing to cover them and a nice little one time use packet of anti-seize.... all you need is some crimpers and electrical tape, maybe a small ziptie or two and a wrench.

Any O2 sensor you get will have the codes for matching up the wires, usually there are the 2 black wires, and a blue and a white. just cut the old sensor wires close to the sensor and splice the new sensor onto your OE connector plug.

blast the outside nut of the old sensor with some penetrating oil... I ran the car until warmed up and it wouldn't budge, let it cool for a while and it came right off.
