No Drive from Park in 2002 Tacoma

No Drive from Park in 2002 Tacoma
The rear end and driveshaft was replaced on my 2002 Tacoma Automatic. However, now the transmission will not engage Drive when you go from Park. If you go to Low and then 2nd and then drive, Drive works. Any ideas?
