Nice oil pan gasket for a 22RE?

Does anyone make a nice high quality neoprene oil pan gasket for a 22RE?

I really don’t want to use a cork gasket…

Grab a tube of Toyota's black FIPG (form in place gasket) material. That is what I used on my '85/22RE about 8 years ago and still no leaks around the pan. That is what Toyota recommends for the 22REs.

By FIPG, you mean gasket sealer in a tube?

Is it important to use the toyota brand?

Thanks

Yes, a Form In Place Gasket in a tube. The Toyota stuff works well, that is what I used. I have heard the the "Right Stuff" sealant works pretty good, too. Never tried that myself.

My engine had the FIPG sealant on it before and when you take off the pan, there is what looks like a full rubber gasket there, it is thick and fomred to the block and pan perfectly and it comes off in one piece, pretty amazing stuff, nothing like the plain old silicone sealants that just leave a thin film.
