Here a story about a dip stick has any one ever heard of an diesel engine run out. It when there to much oil in the engine sump . when the engine running the excess oil gets splashed up to the top of the engine. and enters though the PVC valve in to the intake manifold, using the engine oil as a fuel, the engine will then run at full throttle.

This happen to my son. All be cause of the dip stick on a Nissan diesel that he bought.
After he drove it home he went on a trip. on the trip, and using only a torch he check the engine oil and found it was realy low. So he just keeps adding more engine oil. what he didn't know was the dip stick on the Nissan has a rubber seal around top part of it. if your not use to it This rubber seal can prevent the dip stick from going all the way down into the oil sump. When my son checked the oil he didn't know it was full. but he thought the oil was low so he put some more oil in it. and when he started to drive it the engine started to go up to full throttle. he told me he could not turn it off the key would not work The only way he found he could try to stop it was to try to stall it. witch he did though it did not do a lot of damage the engine but it did scare the pants off him and his passengers it also ruined his trip as he still didn't know why it did this we had to pick him up when he told me I knew what had happened and after we drained the oil it was find a lot of trouble all because of a rubber on a dip stick he didn't know about or was use to

Gotta say yes to flaps... protect your paint and the paint of those behind/beside you... also less road spray = less rust...

wow man very nice! looks like your just getting started, from what i read you hve a very rare seat option also, only 10,000 4runners were made in that seat trim, its called vertigo, they made 5,000 tn seats like that and 5,000 grey, what did you pay for the rig? those seats can add up too 3,000 to the value of it, ill try and find the link to a thread on here, or you could try to search it
