Newb considering a 4Runner purchase.
Hi, looks nice a nice active forum ya got here.
Anyway, I've been looking specifically for a nice 84-89 Pickup truck or 4runner for some time now (at least six months) that's actually affordable. Man do these things hold value. I think I finally found the one. I believe I can get it for about $3000. If not, the search continues. What do you guys think of this one.
87 220K+ miles but runs good. One owner. Alt. and bank gauges.

Always hard to tell from pics but it appears to be bone stock.. a good sign it's probably never been abused all that much. With those blingin stock wheels it looks like it must have came fully loaded from the factory unless someone stuck them on there. Welcome to YT. 1st Gens are way cool....hope you find one you like.

That runner looks DANG good. I would jump all over it. From the pics you have, it appears to be in excellent condition. Also one owner is definately a big plus.

I would buy it just so I could have a rust free body. Its going to cost me 3 grand just to get it all fixed and painted and mine still wouldnt look as good as that one.

Well, I didn't end up getting that one. I'm in the process of getting a different one right now, though. It's a white 86. Not in the same kind of shape, but I'm tired of looking. Main differences are a little rust in the rear fenerwells, and bad seats. Also, no fancy gauges.

Any plans for the Yota you do get? Lift, tires, exterior things. You should try and get an 85 or older if you plan to wheel. If you want ride quality get newer. Good luck.

It'll stay pretty much stock. No hardcore offroad. I would definately like to get a push bar, light bar, roof rack, maybe two inches of lift if any at all, and probably stock tire size or slightly larger. Would like some newer yota rims and seats (I have another thread going for that). Oh, and I think those camo vinyl kits sweet, so maybe that too.
