New tires for my 4Runner - Will they fit??

Hi all,

I'm in the process of buying new set of tires/wheels.
I always wanted wider tires.
Is anyone out there running Toyo S/T 285/60R-17.
These are about 11.50 inches wide compared to 10.30 inches wide
of the stock tire.

I just want to make sure these will fit w/o any modifications to the car.

Thanks in advance,

Any sugestions / recommendations will be appreciated.

What's the overall height of the tire?

The overall height is 0.1" smaller than stock but 1.2" wider.

You're probably not the first person to try this tire size. Even amongst this online group. However, it doens't appear you're going to find those people with this thread.

The straight forward solution is to take your car down for a test fit.

The answer, based on the 285/75 R 16 feedback is maybe. What back spacing should we assume your 17" wheels are? If close to stock, you may be fine on-road. However during droop, you may have a-arm rubbing.
