new struts/shocks?

Hey guys,

Just ordered the 3" OME 881(w/ spacers) and 890 combo. Also ordered the 1" diff drop. My question is:

Do I need new shocks for this? Kind of a dumb question because I know most people buy their springs with new shocks, but I just dont have the money. Will I lose any height on my lift because I am using my stock shocks?

if new shocks are needed, the 4wheelparts.com site has a bunch of good deals on sets of 4 shocks. the procomps look good, but I am also looking at the tokico trekmasters. Both are fairly cheap.

thanks

Yes. These, specifically.

The experience I have had with my Procomps, I try to deter from someone getting them. Although I like the ride on mine and they handle rough terrain well. In my case I am only using stock length shocks, but I believe them to be a little too short.

Now maybe the longer lift shocks are different, but for me, I won't go with procomps again if an when I put my 2" springs and spacers on.

OME front coils are suppose to be paired with OME struts, for the rear you can use whatever shock you want (as long as its the right length).

Just in case someone is looking for info on the procomps, mine are the ES3000's. If someone were looking for replacement shocks on a non lifted truck and doesn't wheel much if at all I would recommend them in a heartbeat. To me the ride on them is good, even considering my leafs are on the overloads. Probably the best bang for the buck shock as far as ride goes. But then again I have had no experience with other shocks on there except for blown out ones which I don't even know what brand they were.
