not sure which pitman arm setup etc etc you will need but that's a link to a kit. There might be more but that one is off the top of my head.

No offense to anyone else on this forum, but 4Crawler's flex on his truck is just insane. The heck with just doing what he did just to soften up his ride, copy his whole suspension !!!!

 

Honestly, hi-steer wouldn't be the first thing to buy.
i'd go more for a new front spring hanger, new front springs, and new shackles...
then fix the rear, then worry about the steering.
idk how your truck even steers, the drag link is at like 45 degrees.

 

if i replace the front springs, i will lose the height? what do they mean with boomerang shackles?

 

The boomerang shackles are what they guy I had mentioned was putting on that Hilux.

why would you want that height?
You realise that those mega-arched springs are the reason for your extremely rough ride, right? And that with springs not that arched (i.e. lower), your truck would ride significantly better.
Also, your front spring hanger is all sorts of booty-fab.

You guys ever think that MAYBE....just MAYBE...he doesn't have the same tastes in vehicles and lifts and such as you guys?

i say get rid of all that crappy work, like the front spring hangar, and those rear shocks?!?

keep the springs though.


get rid of the dual shocks up front.


after you get all that done with the same springs, see how it rides, if it rides worse get different springs.

once you get that all sorted out then go after the Hi-Steer

I agree, nothing wrong with a truck on 38's & 40's. Too bad his photos are small. Hard to tell what kind of room he has between the tires/body. To me it looks like they are 38 X 15.5 ?

I know to fit 35's without cutting your looking at a 4" lift. So I would assume 6"+ to clear 38's?

 

2.5" lift with 37s. You get the benefit of big tires, without the negative points of a stupidly high lift.

There is a reason people keep their rigs low. (Given alot of them in the link are buggies, but some are not.)

 

I understand the need to be low, but looks like most of them have cut fenders. That above photo does not look like it's flexing very well either. Cannot have much more room to stuff those things. And aren't the 1st gen truck's wheel wells lager then his gen?

I guess it depends on if the guy wants to cut his fenders up or not.

I like the stance on AxleIke's though.
