Red face new guy here (newbie)

Yo Folks, new here and all that. i just bought a '91 runner with the 3vze, so here are my thoughts;
This baby needs a litle work, to start with back-end seal, general tune-up, and a pair of mile marker hubs. i want a little more power, but in my country options are limited. I've been reading the various posts on things like exhaust work, EGR removal, etc. So here's what I want to know;
1. Of all the mods available, does a catback system give the most gains(torque, mpg) & what is the most recommended size (2",2.25" or 2.5")?
2. Does the '91 carry a temp. sensor for the egr? In Guyana, we don't have to worry about emissions, so will elimination of the egr system provide more benefits, especially in terms of reliability and fuel efficency?
Help me out here guys.

I'm not a 3.oh guy, so I can't really help you out in that department

BUT, me, as well as everyone else is going to tell you to stay away from the Mile marker hubs, and keep with factory Aisin hubs

OOOPsie, just bought a pair of MM hubs, cost was my deciding factor-at an exchange rate of $200gd to $1usd, that pair cost me $40,000gd, a used pair of aisins cost $45,000(no guarantee, no returns) and a pair of warns-$60,000. Any specific complaints about the MM hubs though?

BTW, I had noticed that the 'runner was runnin' a lttle cool on the highway, when I realised that the thermostat was removed(a common boneheaded move done by some mechanics here), and I got to thinking; if combustion temps and therefore engine operating temps rise as a result of removing the egr- would the free flowing coolant as a result of the absent thermostat therefore keep engine temps in check once the egr was removed? Other than that is carb spray a good method to remove that gunk in the intake manifold?
Any thoughts on the exhaust size?
